The common person just thinks about his material life, is envious, and fights with people. The special person wants for others what he wants for himself. Ṭarīqah people are special.

Although we are not happy about it we must try to derive some lesson from the loss. You may think you are free to do anything but Allāh ﷻ has the last say.

Surrender and Relax

Many ignorant people claim it was a dream or a spiritual event but it was a journey in the body, out of time, approaching nearer to Allāh ﷻ than any other creation, even angels are able. The night is for praying and the day for fasting. Its reward is like 60 months of worship.

Allāh ﷻ praised the prophet Ibrāhīm (as) calling him ‘awwāhun ḥalīm’ (9:114) – soft and merciful and He ﷻ ordered him to be well behaved and soft even to the unbelievers in the hopes they would come to believe. The Prophet ﷺ said those with this attribute will be near him ﷺ in Paradise.

One Wing of a Mosquito

Allāh ﷻ says in the Holy Qur’ān that all living things are made of water. There is no life, no cleanliness, no īmān (faith) without water. Water is pure and clean. Those who pollute it are cursed. It will not be made pure again until the coming of Sayyidunā Mahdī (as).

Allāh ﷻ Chooses Place, Time, and People

It is Allāh ﷻ who makes a time or a place or a person holy. It is not up to what we think or what is convenient. These holy months change according to the moon calendar. He ﷻ makes them holy as He ﷻ has also chosen Mecca and Medina; as He ﷻ has chosen the Prophet ﷺ and his Ṣaḥābah. We cannot change this.

Be Clean, Allāh ﷻ Will Defend You

People are afraid of those who envy or hate them but there is nothing to fear. If you have done nothing bad, you have nothing to fear because Allāh ﷻ has said He ﷻ will defend you and what they wish for you will come on them. So keep yourself clean and do not be afraid.

Try to imitate the ways of good people. The best of people is the Prophet ﷺ and his companions. Today people imitate the worst people. With the good you always find goodness; with the bad you will always lose. You will understand on the Day of Resurrection.

The Final Regret

Allāh ﷻ shows us so many favours. In these three holy months, He ﷻ rewards each good deed a hundredfold. Don’t be rebellious and pass up these opportunities. All that will save you in the next life is having a pure heart. Regret and repent now. Do not enter the hereafter with regret.
